ERS to defend Commerce Commission allegations
The New Zealand Commerce Commission has today filed proceedings against ERS New Zealand Limited and one Australian director alleging it attempted to fix prices for the collection and disposal of used oil.
The allegation relates to a single incident in 2005.
ERS has co-operated fully with the Commerce Commission’s investigation but intends to fully defend the allegation.
The Commission has not alleged that a price fixing agreement was reached. ERS refutes there was any attempt on its part to reach a price fixing agreement.
The Commission’s proceedings do not involve any New Zealand employees.
There will be no further comment as this matter is now before the courts.
